The Settlement

I entered the venue to play the guessing game. Guess the amount of the product and you get $20 plus the item. Unfortunately there are no rules regards this game and people can use there iphone/smartphone to check up the price and write this down on the board. This is not fair to other patrons who use the venue or prefer to guess the actual item honestly. What do you think?

I took the family here recently for my sons birthday. We sat at the front part, as I wont go to the restaurant (see other review). The front is usually pretty good, and the pizza is superb, if ordered after 6pm. The pizza we had was still the best, but the service was terrible. Soon after arriving, we ordered our drinks. We got some straight away, but had to wait for the others. When we questioned if they had forgotten, the staff member said they were too busy and we would get them soon. Meanwhile we watched, while other bar customers were served. The manager came over to our table, only to be told they were short staffed. No apology.

These guys have their good nights and bad. Their serving sizes are generous but a little pricey. Overall not a bad place to go for any occasion. Generally pretty well looked after.

This place is great! We recently went here for my birthday. The staff were helpful, we booked a table at the last minute but that was all ok with them, the meals were fast & yummy. Everyone cleaned their plates & we had no room for birthday cake because the meals were so generous. The kitchen looked run off their feet but kept up well with the rush. The toilets were abit iffy but being a public toilet you never know what the person before has done.

Wouldn't go here again, I went out with a group of friends. The food was terrible, wasn't much on the plate and what was on the plate wasn't very nice. Out of 5 of us, no-one enjoyed their meal. Very disappointing as it's a great looking pub. The toilets were also quite dirty.

When I lived in this area I went here on a weekly basis for their food and I really like there pokies machines. The security guards are very friendly but can be quite chatty sometimes and have made my best friend feel uncomfortable at times but overall great place.

Always friendly staff, meals are great and very well priced for money, the staff are great with kids and they have a great play area for kids. Meals taste yummy and service is fast :-)

The settlement is a classic 'family restaurant'. It can be a bit dark inside at times and it can be difficult to navigate all the split levels with a pram or someone mobility impaired, but there is a small playground for the kids. The food in general is average. There is nothing wrong with it, but it doesn't stand out. The cost is about average for a restaurant of this kind.

My experiences her have not been all that flash. The staff are absolutely lovely but on a bad day can come across as rude. I had a seafood basket and it was not at all what I expected, cold, uncooked and the fish they used was like rubber.

I went here for dinner in the main dining area. I ordered apricot chicken which I love. When my meal came out, it was a dry chicken fillet with what looked and tasted like apricot jam on top. The playground is tiny so the kids got bored quickly. I have been to the front part for dinner as well without kids and that's quite nice and you don't have to book. And the pokies are good.

I follow a Gluten free diet - the chef was more than happy to accommodate this. I had the chicken risotto and it was delicious. My date had the chicken parma - it was a large serving and he couldn't eat it all!

the meals are over priced, the play ground stinks. Not a nice place to go out for a meal. I will not be going back.

I was very underwhelmed by this place. I thought prices were too expensive for basic food. I had a pasta which was ok but expected alot more to it. pasta is normaly a cheaper dish! Unfortunatly i would not be going back here.

Nice place eaten at the bistro once was a little pricey meals were good though, eat at the public bar every tuesday for poker night, woodfired pizzas a good.

Not happy with meals served, fiance had the mixed seafood basket, it was very poor quality for price, looked like it was out of a supermarket packet. I had the warm beef salad, had lots of yukky tasting fancy lettuce and the beef was too rare for my liking and was very small serve. Waiters service was very poor, asked for glass of water and waited 25 mins. Wont go back.

Lovely buildings, yesteryear style, good pub meals, child play section, another bistro for casual pizza and drinks, very nice local spot.

Very nice bistro and the food is great. A nice spot to take the family as it is child friendly. Very reasonable prices too.

It was a nice bistro meal. We loved the waitress. They were good prices. They were very busy but still very organized and we didn't have to wait long.

A very nice relaxing atmosphere, we go here on Sundays to relax and wind down, have a delicious 3 course meal, with great service and a reasonably sized menu its just a great place to relax

Food was very fresh and yummy for a bistro meal , Staff were very friendly and helpful, very quick service, kids meals were great with a few choices, All the kids love playing in the kids play room

I go here sometimes for my birthday and special occasions. I love the parmie here, its very very good and i would recommend this! Food is prepared very quickly and the cakes, (if your still not full) is divine!
