Took some overseas visitors here and enjoyed sampling the beer under the umbrella on the deck. Had expected more of a 'tasting' set-up but when we went to the bar, it was just like ordering from any other pub and the staff didn't seem all that keen to discuss options/tastings.
Good idea but overall the atmosphere felt a bit flat. Outside - a nice place to sit and watch the world go by though.

This micro-brewery is located in an old warehouse on the wharf at Goolwa. We took a ride on the Cockle Train, and the brewery is right next to the Railway Station, so we went in for a look after our trip.
It is set up so you can view the beer-making and bottling plant, and other memorabilia on display.
We bought a couple of 4 packs of assorted beers in about 375ml bottles for $18.60, for the blokes in our group to try.(sorry, not being sexist, we offered our wives a taste too, but they decided to stick with their Moscato!)
A nice bar area, beers on tap as well, to drink on site. Plenty of seating inside and tables outside on a raised wooden deck, with views of the river and Wharf Precinct.
There was a choice of about 5 different styles, they only had 3 available when we visited. Usually I'm not that partial to these boutique beers, but these weren't too bad.
Worth a visit, and the Wharf area has a lot of other attractions, like the Steam Train, eating places, river Museum, craft shops etc.
