The food is always good at the Union and my husband loves the range of beers available. Always a good spot for a casual night out. I have had at least my last two birthdays here as it is good value and great food and easy to book a table out in the bistro.

The Union is a great place for a quiet drink and an honest meal. The kitchen has recently changed hands and is serving amazing meals that over deliver on your usual "pub grub" food, yet still not being over priced.

Great place! Have been here many times now and the food is tops, really enjoy the fish and chips whenever i go. They have a great cocktail hour on friday night as well as two enjoyable outside areas (one is like a fishbowl). Great place to hang out with friends and the prices are decent for drinks, especially for Newtown.

Have eaten here quite abit in the past, fab for brunch. Not so keen on friday/saturday nights as its busy and noisy (high ceilings & large open space) tend to amplify the sound. The Courtyard is a great place to relax and enjoy a few cold ones with friends.

Great local pub. I have been here a few times with friends since it was recently renovated. The food is great and reasonably priced for a bistro. The decor is very spacious, casual and welcoming. The atmosphere is enjoyable and service is good.
