My Wife recently visited the shop, heading in the CBD especially to do so.
She was in before 4:00 PM (Closing time 4:30). Found shoes she liked and wanted a different colour. Staff couldn't get access to the store room, Manager said impossible, so my wife was forced to do an online order and pay for postage. I rang today to complain to the manager, same one, who pretended that she new nothing about it yesterday, and said my wife could have come in and picked them up today (only 2 hours away).
Manager is patronising, arrogant and inflexible, do not go here if you like service. They quote on their website "Service is an integral part of the philosophy of The Walking Company, and our friendly and knowledgeable staff, are always on hand to assist you with a simple inquiry, or a fully fitting service." Not the case at all.

Be wary!

Approximate cost: $60 + Post that shouldn't be charged

I decided to purchase a pair of specialty shoes online from The Walking Company after checking out a few sites online. They offer free delivery and returns if you spend over $100, so you are not out of pocket if they don't fit. Prices are good, and their range is one of the best. Very happy with my purchase.
