Running late on the first appointment? How is that possible? Charged for Flu jab when I’m eligible for a free jab. Last time I visit this medical centre

There's nothing worse than having a child suddenly fall ill and wondering where on earth to go. My normal Doctor requires a few days notice for appointments. Luckily a friend had told me about Western Medical Centre and I rang them to see if they could fit us in.

The receptionist was very helpful and told us to come straight away and they would squeeze us in. We waited for a while of course, but finally got in to see a doctor who diagnosed an ear infection. They are perfectly situated because we were also able to zip across the road to Carnovale chemist to fill the prescription for antibiotics and begin treating this straight away. Otherwise I can imagine I would have had a very upset and uncomfortable child if we had waited until the next day.

So based on this experience, I would say they were a caring practice. There is parking around the back or across the road in Macdonald's car park.

Great doctor's surgery. Always able to get a same day appointment - reception staff are always helpful and friendly.
