Tonight, we ate in at The Wood Oven. It’s Australia Day, and as expected the restaurant was very busy. Despite how busy they were, with new staff still learning the ropes and the additional challenging pandemic restrictions, this place served up THE BEST Supreme + Garlic & Cheese Pizza’s that I’ve eaten, hands down, anywhere!!
Not only that, the customer service my wife and I received from the staff tonight was nothing short of outstanding!
Do yourself a favour and grab the best Pizza you will ever eat!

We went here on a holiday recently for lunch. It's in a lovely spot right near the water and just above the shops along the broadwalk. We ordered a meat lovers pizza, a blue haven pizza which had mushroom and proscuitto and a few different types of cheeses so it was quite tasty and a little unusual. The pizzas were on a nice thin base and had a reasonable amount of toppings and tasted quite good and authentic, defiantly better than fast food pizza. The prices were pretty standard for gourmet pizza, but the service wasn't very enthusiastic. It appears to be table service and has a restaurant setting, but then you have to go to the counter to order and pay first and the food just gets brought to the table. It would be more helpful if there was a sign saying no table service so you don't just sit and wait.

Gthese guys are a pizza place so lovely they sell a ranhe of things pastas pizzas all beautiful things very highly recpmended they are fast and beautiful food

The place is situated in busy plaza in from of Nelson Bay port. The place was very crowed when we went there for lunch. The smell of wood fire pizza was just lovely. So we decided to go in. It took a while for us to get a table and order. Customer service was not really good. We had chicken pizza and creamy chicken pasta. The food was ok. Definitely need more floor staff as we didn't get water for a while when one of us wanted a glass of water.
