Love this place got here to have a quite drink of to have a snack at their cafe. Great place and the service isbalways friendly. Large range of pokies aswell.

Lavaracks Restaurant is located on the top floor of the Townsville RSL club. Lavaracks provides a high quality menu which falls just below fine dining, but is much more refined than other clubs and bars regular restaurant menu's. The cost of the meals also is very good considering the menu and probably better than other restaurants of similar quality. IF you are a member of the RSL you can also get a small discount on your meals. Lavaracks opens six days per week and does both lunch and dinner services (check for the opening times in advance though as it closes in the afternoon). Wait times I have found are generally on the longer side but in saying that all your food comes out freshly prepared. Staff are always polite, friendly and respectful. There is always plenty of activities going in throughout the RSL club itself to do after you finish your meal with regular live music, dance nights, raffles, poker machines and a TAB available.

there must have been about 30 options for mains alone - the steak was just mouth watering!!! i was really shocked as this wasnt what i was expecting from an rsl at all. had a great time here in a great atmosphere! the staff were lovely and helpful

I found the food to be of a pretty standard offering. The prices were slightly high. We got our order pretty fast so no complaints about the service. I think the menu needs updating - not a huge variety on offer

i was very impressed with the overall menu, however we waited around for quite awhile for someone to wait on us and then even longer for the food to show up. food was good though a tad expensive

The food is very well prices and of exceptional quality, the restaurant is upstairs away from the public bars so as to give a relaxed dining experience. Everything has always been cooked to order, served in a good time frame and in a freindly manner
