I took my son to the Barra Farm fishing a few months ago. I thought the farm was quite well set up with an option to fish for smaller fish in one pond or larger fish in another. It was quite a fun experience for kids as they have a pet pig that wonders around pinching your bait out of your bucket if your not watching him carefully. You pay by the hour which suited well with little kids as they have a short attention span. Overall it was a fun time for a reasonable price.

Great place to catch a few lazy barra or jacks all year round. Also has Townsville's only golf driving range, at a nice length of 300m. Friendly staff, cool drinks and plenty of bbq's to have your own picnics.
