I've spoken to a lot of paint trades, and strangely, not many of them actually enjoy what they do - but I guess it pays the bills. Paul from UC Painting is one of those rare tradies who actually loves what he does. Which makes a lot of sense when you consider the quality of his workmanship - absolutely amazing.

Paul came highly recommended to us from a neighbour who had used them regularly. We had the side of our weatherboard house in a stage of pretty severe rot, so it needed some boards replaced and the whole thing repainted.

Paul came out and quoted us on the job and told us he could start promptly. We decided to go with him not just because of the recommendation, but because he spent a lot of time detailing exactly how he'd do the job.

The fun part was on the day he commenced, he realised that many other boards were rotten - many more than he could see on the day he quoted (the house has a high wall, so he didn't go up that far to check on that day). He told us he'd honour his quote and not charge us any more labour and only asked us to pay the cost of the boards. We were happy to oblige.

The whole job was completed very promptly, and better still, he was able to manage our neighbour who at times, was quite demanding of what and how they wanted things put back on their side of the house (even though, technically, it was not Paul's problem to address).

The end result was great and people who have since seen the external wall comment on how much pride the tradie who painted it must have had. We couldn't have put it better. Thanks Paul!
