1 review about Ungaro Raw

Both of my children are Vegan, which often means we have less that exciting experiences when we go out to lunch. Quite often the Vegan option is a plate of boring salad. (And I DO mean boring, some boiled quinoa and a chopped tomato was a standout example.)

I have been to Ungaro with the family twice now. The first time was so so, I honestly don't remember what I ate, but the juice was nice, and the coffee was good.

Today, I was completely blown away by the Quesadilla. The flavours were beautifully balanced, and the outside was gorgeously crispy, it was also a hugely generous serving, and I wish I had taken the half I could not eat home with me, instead of letting the boys finish it off, as I am sitting here hankering for another bite of it!

Today's juice was not as nice as the previous one, as it came with a great deal of foam on the top that tasted rather poorly of apple peel.

One son had the tofu and vegie stir fry, which he wolfed down so quickly, I did not even get a look at it, but he said it was excellent, and the burritos the rest of the table ordered were huge, and pleasant enough from all reports.

The service is friendly and easy going. They also sell a range of organic wines and ciders if you fancy something stronger, and host open mic evenings fairly regularly.

Will definitely be going back.

Approximate cost: $10-$18.00
