Class has arrived in Ascot Vale, at a bargain price. I loved the wholesome experience. It felt old school, kind of like a church/college dining room experience gentrified. The food was first class though.
Slow cooked grassfed beef shortrib, potato puree, baby leeks, red wine onion
Wild barramundi with parsnip puree, baby brussel sprouts and almonds
Free range duck breast, toasted buckwheat, quince, walnut and chicory
Soft chocolate with spiced quince, honeycomb and gingerbread
Even the salads were well thought out and executed - root roasted heirloom vegetables with salsa verde, and rainbow witlof with crushed nuts and mustard fruits
