While I was away, lights went out and wife called this contractor. They persuaded her she needed 3 safety switches installed into the almost new fusebox at a cost of $380 EACH. Total cost was $1400 for a 2 hour visit - switches cost about $50 each. My own electrician has advised he would quote $350 for whole job. Called management who were smug and showed no contrition. Basically - your wife, who knew no better, agreed so we charge whatever we can get away with. Be warned! - Contractor based in Narabeen Sydney.
