My cousins and I dined here a couple of weeks ago for my late birthday dinner.

We walked past it and saw that it was as new addition to the plethora of restaurants on Church St.

Verona is advertised as an Italian and French restaurant and this is evident in their offerings.

They have vegetarian dishes as well which was indicated clearly on the menu. One of the diners is a vegetarian so this made ordering fuss-free and easy.

All of the dishes came out promptly and so did our drinks.

I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly but the sauce was a bit too salty.
Other dishes we ordered were:
- salt and pepper calamari and prawns: this too was a bit too salty but both the calamari and prawns were not overcooked
- zucchini flowers: delicious!
- fresh barramundi fillet: I was told that this tasted nice and fresh
- chicken st loren: this was a generous serving and tasted delicious
- pumpkin ravioili: nice and could taste the pumpkin flavour without it being overbearing

The total ended up being $50pp which was just a tad much but the service and dishes were worth it.

Overall, I would definitely return to Verona as the service and food were great.

Approximate cost: $30
