Good food. Not a bad place, but several on our table were unable to have what they ordered because the kitchen run out... bad planning

I wouldn't say I've had the best experience here. It's not somewhere I would choose to go. The Calamari dish was delicious but small for its size. I enjoyed my main but it was when I go to dessert that let me down. I ordered the creme brulee. I live creme brulee and was so excited that it was on the menu. It was served in a large dish and I was so excited, until I tasted it. It was over cooked a tasted like an omelette. When I spoke to the manager about it he was not impressed and argued with me about it. He it been dealt with differently my experience would have been better and maybe I would return. Think I'll avoid for now and maybe one day I'll venture back. It's a shame because I heard such good things about it, but my experience failed me.

This restaurant provides a wide range of Modern Italian and Steak/Seafood dishes. I had a pasta for lunch - Fettuccine Salmon which arrived after a prolonged wait time (and the place was not busy). The dish was a good size and the salmon was cooked just right so it was not overcooked like some places like to do. However I think that more salmon should have been provided in the dish as the pieces of salmon were small bits and as a result of the low salmon content did not allow the main element of the dish to fully flavor the pasta. The pricing of the dish was also a bit high compared to other restaurants in the area at $21 and as a result represents average value for money.

Competent and efficient service. Food is above average quality. Calamari entree was tiny, Lamb shanks very generous but sides lacked flavour. Coffee acceptable and wine selection was above average.
Parking is plentiful and the menu has a good selection. Room lacks warmth, the decor tries a little too hard and misses the mark.

Approximate cost: $25

It was better when it first opened than now. The staff are lovely and offer great service. The food is good but over priced for what you get. The chefs seem grumpy and don't like to change the dishes, even for regulars, if you get served 1min before breakfast ends, they wont do it. Last time I went I had an upset stomach so asked for an apple, and was prepared to pay the price of a juice, my husband was having a full lunch meal and even though they offer freshly squeezed juices, the chefs said they have no apples in the kitchen. We haven't been back since and wont go again.

Great atmosphere and dining room decor is lovely with large timber beams spanning the ceiling. We had four people at our table and we all tried pastas and desserts. Food was lovely, staff were friendly and the meals were delivered quickly even thought the restaurant was fully booked. Will definitely visit again.

Great new restaurant. Staff are all very lovely and knowledgeable. Just a little pricey for the mains - Bruschetta for entree is a must!! Can get a little noisy when it starts to fill up, but will defintely visit again!

Approximate cost: $35.00

Lovely decor, fantastic food and good service - a great addition to the Templestowe food district in James Street. A favorite is the salmon and beef mains. We went there with a large Xmas group and consistently everyone enjoyed their meals. Desserts are a bit boring - only let down. Definitely a place worth going and good coffees too!

Approximate cost: $23

Really tasty food. Had beautiful stuffed calamari. Nice interior, contemporary design, plenty of glass, bright colours and high ceilings. However accoustics werent great so it was very loud even though it wasnt full capacity.

Approximate cost: $25
