I think it's great that they have somewhere for the kids to run around now, because children just got so bored. The meals are delicious! The service was fantastic last time I was there. A great atmosphere for any occasion.

Had dinner here a few months ago to celebrate my grandson's birthday so it was very mixed age groups. Had a nice table and the menu was good. Had gluten free dishes and a good children's selection also. The bistro was modern and the clientele very quiet so we were able to chat.

The new Vic Hotel is really well fitted out - they recently (actualy maybe 3-4 years ago now!) renovated and they did an excellent job - for a hotel in the middle of (almost) nowhere, it's actually really nice looking inside.
Lovely comfy mini arm-chairs to sit in at your table and there is an log fire in one corner of the restaurant.
The service was ok - just average.
The food was quite nice, and surprisingly good value for money particularly if you like schnitzel and you go there on a Wednesday :-) (only $9.90 for a chicken or beef schnitzel on Wednesday nights).
They usually have a 'coffee & cake' of the month offer also, where if you want a coffee & piece of cake at any time then it's only around $5-$6 by memory - and the cakes are usually really nice. There was a red velvet cake recently, and also a nice cheesecake another month that I recall.
I would go here again, it's just that it's easy to forget that this hotel is there as it's kind of a bit out of the way unless you live right nearby or are driving past on your way home/out.

Approximate cost: $16

I hadn't been here for years, so it was great to see that it had been renovated. The staff were friendly and the food was good.

Since the makeover the dining area is a lot more inviting. Menu has also been upgraded - a little pricey but the meals are good. Have discount lunch specials during the week. Service is friendly.

They have a dining section and when your finished eating you can move to another area to enjoy a drink. Very modern and relaxing. They have a open fireplace which is perfect in winter. They also have a $13 lunch menu.
