Some weeks ago while on the Mornington Peninsula we indulged in gelato from this store. Lemon and chocolate double each was our choice and it was very enjoyable. Just like when we have visited Italy.

Vulcano Gelato is a place you have to visit if you are on the Peninsula because they sell some of the best gelato I have ever tasted. The service was very fast because in Winter this shop is pretty quiet, but during the Summer the line can go out the door. I bought chocolate flavoured gelati and it was absolutely delicious, but the prices are rather expensive, but keep in mind that they do give you a decent serving. The person serving me was super friendly and welcoming, which was good to see.

This is the best gelato on the Peninsula. It gets quite busy in the summer, but it is so worth the wait. It is creamy and delicious. They also give you a decent serve, which is always good.

Delicious, authentic gelateria! Creamy, quality ice cream with those true Italian flavours. This place is a must try when visiting the peninsula!

This is one of my all time favourite Gelati places.

Since this place opened, I have lost count of how many trips I have taken to get a home made gelato from Vulcano.

My husband and I learned from the owners that the reason they are only open 6 months of the year is because they have a sister store on the Sicilian island of Vulcano off the Aeolian Islands that they work in for the Italian summer.

They make all their own flavours and it is truly an authentic gelati experience, which is extremely close to what you would get if you were in fact eating one in Italy.

My favourite flavours are lemon and chocolate together, but they make new ones all the time. I had an amazing banana one last time and it was sensational.

There are quite a few gelati places kicking around Rye, but this one tops the charts for me.

Some of the best gelati I have tried with a good range of flavors. Service is efficient as you pay first and then get your icecream which makes it a bit quicker. Prices are reasonable but would be better if there was an option for little kids. The smallest size was still quite alot for a toddler so a proper kiddie size would be a good addition.

I had some gelato with my mum when I went to visit some family. It was very nice and flavoursome. It was definately in my top 5 places for gelato. The service was friendly and prces were resonable. They have a pretty good range and offer lots of different ways to have your gelato.
