5 reviews about Warragul Hospital

I've had multiple negative experiences here. Emergency Dept is usually only 2 hours. However i was met with condescention and disgust from triage nurses about my issue when it got particularly bad and i drove myself to the ED. Also extremely negative experience about 2 years later with the process for eventually (attempting) surgery for same issue with a surgeon and the referring surgeon.

I was met with condescension and disregard and a holier than thou attitude for daring to ask for things to be explained with every medical professional realted to this hospital. I ended up getting 2 surgeries at a different hospital now three years later because my condition deteriorated so much. The new hospital got me through the system pretty quick as well, and we're happy to explain what was wrong and what was happening at every stage despite also being a public hospital.

There was one anesthetist here at warragul who seemed like the only health care worker out of my whole experience who had compassion for patients. I guess the one star can be for her. She's the only person who deserves a star.

I have never once received actual help, explanations of my condition or even direction to people who can actually help me at this hospital out of my three visits. I had to learn the ins and outs of my condition through various internet searches over a three year period and thought I was just going to have to live with it in shame and embarrassment forever.

Maybe other departments are better than the ones i dealt with but either way
I'm never EVER going to this hospital again, you could not pay me.

Went Warragul hospital late yesterday with chest pains, ambulance people were amazing, Lea and
Jody so special. Then seen by Jeremy a doctor and amazing nurses Jackie and Lucy. I cant believe how caring and sentimental Jeremy was, what a wonderful dooctor he is.
Warragul hospital you are lucky to have such caring staff, make sure you let them know of my praise

I gave birth to my son at Warragul and was impressed with the way everything was handled. The midwives were great and were always happy no matter what time of the night it was when I buzzed them. Even the food was ok, and we all know how bad hospital food is.

I have spent alot of time up in the hospital lately i kind of feel like I live there a bit,:(
My pa is very sick and my Sister has recently been in there as well, I can not fault the nurses up there i just felt, they was not enough of them, are are extremely helpful and kind to deal with, just so understaffed for what they have to do , I believe,

I had my first child there and the nurses and the facilities were outstanding. The service provided was second to none and I would recommend any one to this small country hospital. It was not the closest hospital to where I lived but Word of mouth had told me that it was a great hospital.. They were right... Well worth the drive from Pakenham
