If you've ever wondered what it might be like to dine like balinese royalty, then I would suggest a trip to Warung Agus. You would not regret it.
All things considered it offers a wonderful experience.
First up, the setting and atmosphere is warm, sophisticated and very old school - quiet ambience, nicely spaced out tables, pressed white tablecloths, fresh flowers at each table.
The menu offers balinese food that would be served at special occasions or to wealthy individuals (ie. more than just more standard gado gados & curry/stew based dishes). For example: whole grilled barramundi topped with a gently spicy Balinese tomato-based sauce & cucumber to refresh and balance.
It's a really nice experience, and although pricier than usual asian restaurants (~$25-30 for a main) it is worth it for the lovely and unique experience.
