Outstanding experience and service.
Absolutely loved the cave tour. Westy the tour guide was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and so welcoming.
He knew the caves very well and the surrounding area, he was a happy and warm gentleman, such a great asset to the team there at the caves.
We loved the experience and all the staff we ran into at the cafe/shop were great too. I highly recommend this definitely worth the drive.

Definitely had a great full day here on our way to Victoria. We based ourselves in Dubbo and headed off with the family to tour the caves as none of our teenagers had never been inside a cave system. Is was in summer time and the temperature was 48 degrees but we were amazed that once we got in the caves, it was just so cold. Absolutely beautiful if you like this sort of thing. We all got gloves and hard hats and walked on a guided tour which seems to go everywhere, the cathedral and garden caves were the most beautiful. There was tunnels and stair systems which the kids loved and was very educational for them as well. When we finished, we grabbed some lunch and headed across the road to the Japanese Gardens. Lovely day out. The only negative would be the tour prices. It costs anything from a one cave admission ($16) to the works (2 caves and the mine $46.50) which got pricey with a whole family.

Approximate cost: $47 ea

We spent several hours here, and did all 3 tours that are available, each about an hour long. There are 2 cave tours, through Cathedral Cave & Gaden Cave & the Phosphate Mine tour. All were very interesting, lots to see and learn, and the guides were knowledgeable and very pleasant and happy to answer any questions. Quite a few steps to enter caves, not too strenuous, but no good for wheelchairs or those with difficulty with mobility. There is also a kiosk, Japanese Gardens (tranquil and relaxing) and a house made of bottles (wasnt open when we were there on a Tuesday). Great day out, very family friendly. (also a beautiful big aviary with some very chatty cockatoos, you must say 'hello' to them)

I really enjoyed the tours of the caves. It was very interesting and I learnt a lot. The caves are very fascinating and I recommend to anyone going to or through Wellington to go have a look.
