I don't know if my husband and I went on a bad night or what, but this place did not impress me at all. First of all, it's on a busy roundabout corner so we had to park a way away and then walk.

We weren't greeted when coming in and were not sure where to sign or how to get a meal. The place seemed to have lots of small rooms and walls - I think they open these up for functions and it was hard to find out way to the dining area.

There was supposed to be live music but there was none. The price of the meals were on the little expensive side and we waited a very long time for them to be brought out, even though there weren't too many people in the place.

Finally when mine came, - pasta with avocado and chicken, it was cold and then it took ages to get the attention of staff to get it sent back to the kitchen to be warmed up.

All in all, I was looking forward to a nice night with my partner and it just didn't happen.

Approximate cost: $20 - 30 main

The Williamstown RSL Bistro offers an excellent buffet style cavery on Sundays, which although i thought was quite expensive per head, the quality and taste of the food was top notch. Overall, we had a pleasant meal and the service was friendly.

We partook of their $20.00 Sunday Carvery Lunch. Plenty of moist tender beef pork and lamb beautifully cooked, served with vegetables. A bonus is the desert included in the cost. Excellent value.

Approximate cost: $20.00

My family ate here during the week and the food was something you'd expect at a 5 star hotel or silver service restaurant - absolutely divine! The prices were what you'd expect at a good cafe - IE cheap! We came back for the kids night - Wednesdays from 6pm and my 7yo asks to come back all the time! He gets a free drink, free food (not your average kids buffet - there's real food), free face painting and a free interactive magic show! It's pretty noisy in there on Wednesdays for the adults but we get a reasonably priced, excellent quality meal which we can enjoy while the kids watch the show. Although we watched it with fascination too!

Approximate cost: $15-30
