Windmill Hill Salvage & Save is a great initiative. Items that are still useable/repairable or simply unwanted and still fine can be donated rather than thrown away at the rubbish tip. In addition, goods can be donated. The staff are individuals with disabilities. Therefore this business recycles, reduces waste and provides employment to the disadvantaged.
I love browsing at Windmill Hill Salvage! It's huge, packed with bargains and amazing things. Contrary to what you might imagine, this is not a place where they sell repaired trash. It's like the biggest Op Shop you've ever seen! There are beautiful fine china tea cups, household items of every description, kitchen electrical goods in almost new condition, all kinds of books, clothes, toys, furniture, building materials, kennels, pet hutches, outdoor furniture - you name it! You could stock an entire home with everything that they have there!
There's EFTPOS and the staff are friendly and helpful.
