Food is good, can be a little hit & miss. Sometimes its really great, other times has been average.

The atmosphere is the best thing about this place, the decor is cool, the fireplaces are great. The music can get too loud sometimes, its the kind of pub you go to to have a chat with mates, not a nightclub. The staff are ok, polite enough but a little pretentious.

Overall I like coming to this place as it's conveniently close, and its a really chilled cosy place.

Have been many times, always good for reasonable quality and reasonably priced food - luv pie night on Monday.
Great beer garden for the warmer months & in winter can't beat all the small cosy rooms some with open fire places. Always busy, generally 20-30 something crowd with a smattering of older patrons like myself & friends. Staff efficient and pleasant. Have only been disappointed once when I have recommended it to friends, not due to any fault of the hotel.

Approximate cost: $15-30

An old pub with distinctive decore. Great beer garden for a few drinks on a nice day or evening. A young crowd but there are many older locals that have continued to drink there for many years. I love the pink elephants on the roof! I have not had a meal there for ages but hear the place is popular.

A fun and vibrant beergarden for summer, and a cosy seductive interior with opendireplaces for winter- a great place to catch up with a large group of friends, or a romantic date. The restaurant food is good quality pub meals and very yummy with a "home made" appeal. lasagne, meatballs, pies and vegie butritoes are all reccomended.
Book for group dinners even during the week as they are very popular!

We had a meatball pizza as well as the parma and parma was what you would expect, kinda hard to get them wrong especially whenwe as patrons have a beer hunger. However the pizza was a bit plain and meatballs weren't the best.

Maybe I didnt enjoy the place because it was the night of the last day of the Spring Racing Carnival, but it was full of rude, drunk 18 year olds. Two toilets only for the girls which is ridiculous for the amount of people the venue can hold. Service was slow, drinks a little pricey and the lighting could be turned up a touch so we can see where we're going!

The Windsor Castle has a rabbit warren of rooms that you can choose to tuck yourself away in. Several of them had fires, which was nice on a Winter's afternoon. Behind the bar were some strange artifacts, including a whole stuffed peacock.

We met friends there yesterday for a Birthday get-together. Our numbers fluctuated over the course of the afternoon, but there were anywhere between 15 - 25 people. The staff were a little impatient (some might even consider rude) about our efforts to move furniture around so that people could sit more easily together.

We had some food - Pizza and a Ravioli (at $20 for the Ravioli, I thought it was bit steep for pub food), which were reasonably nice, but nothing exceptional. But if you want a nice place to go for a small group - check it out.

Approximate cost: $18
