When booked, Dr said he would be arriving about 07.30 am. It was lunch time and still no show, he eventually did call back 6 hours later to say he was too busy and cannot make the visit. My brother was seriously ill, ended up in emergency at Wollongong hospital where they admitted him for 8 days with pneumonia. He could barely breathe. What a useless, incompetent, service. Just go to hospital and don’t waste your time.

First time I called them, a doctor sent my prescription to a pharmacy that was closed for the holidays, called them again a second time, and they told me my script would be at an open pharmacy near me at 8:30AM. I get there at 9:30AM and they tell me nothing has come in. Tax dollars at work

I once had food poisoning and was too sick to leave the bathroom, let alone get in the car and travel to a doctors surgery. A male doctor came out (after only a relatively short wait of 2 hours or so). From memory he gave me a Maxalon injection to stop the vomiting. Without his help I would have been in a really bad way. This is an absolutely essential service. I was bulk billed as well, which is also so needed as mostly people may not have money on them or whatever in an emergency situation.
