Don't be lured by the beauty that this shop offers only to experience the ugliness of the customer service I received by the Owner of Wood Metal String- Frankston.
"CAVEAT EMPTOR"
Purchased a pair of shoes for my daughter. Shoe beading applique unravelled first time worn, the very next day. Phoned store immediately to notify them of faulty goods. Sales assistant advised me she would let OWNER know, and would provide refund/exchange when I returned shoes to store so they could witness them- as long as receipt was supplied. I informed sales assistant that I would return the next day, ( as it was my daughters birthday) and would be requesting a refund. Once I arrived in store, with shoes and docket presented, I was firstly offered a store credit, and I declined, requesting a refund as the goods were faulty. I paid CASH for the faulty goods and requested a CASH refund. ( I do not have cards). I was told that they could not supply me with a cash refund as they hadn't had a cash sale that day... (?)...... among other 'excuses'. Absolutely unprofessional as all businesses operate with a cash float of some kind. The Owner was then called by the sales assistant, who then handed ME the phone. I was then put on SPEAKER phone to the Owner so the whole store could hear our conversation. ( again,highly unprofessional.) Details were discussed, in full ear shot of all customers and employees. I was spoken to in a derogatory way,often being loudly spoken over when I was speaking and not allowing me to complete sentences. I was offered to wait at the store until they had a cash sale to supply me with a CASH refund... (again, unprofessional). I was then offered that the owner deliver the refund to my home!!!!!.... There is no way I would let this person near my home after the way I was mistreated on the phone! I again reconfirmed my request of refund, still on speaker , and after a heated discussion, still on speaker phone, I received it - IN CASH! Thats all I was asking for- only what I was legally entitled to- NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS.
Consumer Law states "CAVEAT EMPTOR- BUYER BEWARE"...
