I had a great experience with dealing with steve from woodcraft. he understood and created a beautiful pantry for us. he did a face lift to our existing kitchen and by doing so he changed things to make the kitchen exactly the way we want it to be.

We engaged Steve from Woodcraft Cabinets after reading all the positive reviews on this site and couldn’t be happier that we did. It was a fairly big job – renovated kitchen, bathroom and laundry as well as an en suite in a new external bungalow – and the end result was superb, exceeding all expectations.

From first contacting Steve it was clear that he was a complete professional and really knew what he was doing. Steve provided a detailed quote and a competitive price. He worked patiently with me as a first-time owner builder through our architect’s plans including quickly identifying design flaws and providing creative yet practical solutions. He also provided helpful and knowledgeable advice about material and fittings selections. He delivered everything he promised exactly when promised and coordinated the project extremely well.

Steve and his brother Bruce also had a great relationship with the other guys on the site and worked really well with them.

Most importantly, the quality of Woodcraft Cabinet’s work was fantastic. Being an old house, the project was not without it challenges (bowed walls, a crooked kitchen bulkhead) but you can’t see it in the end result which is absolutely precise. Steve told me that he loved his job, and that really showed in the exceptional quality and meticulousness of his work and pride that he clearly takes in it. Steve also brought with him a stonemason who did a brilliant job with our granite bench-tops and was a true, old-school craftsman.

Steve’s outstanding workmanship coupled with his reliability, excellent communication and great project management is a winning combination. And that he was a terrific to deal with was a big bonus. Couldn’t recommend Steve and Woodcraft Cabinets highly enough!

Steve has done a couple of jobs for me. One was kitchen, laundry and bathroom, and we couldn't be happier. He was so patient even though I changed my mind over and over. I also had a small kitchen and WC's at work, he reluctantly worked off my measurements and he was right to be reluctant, I was wrong, but instead of getting annoyed he took it in his stride and did some alterations and Voila!! fixed and it looked awesome. He saved me so much hassle and money with his innovative splashback. I would not hesitate in using Steve again. This is a honest hard working bloke.

I'm often suspicious of companies with 100% glowing reviews, but after having Steve renovate our dodgy old kitchen, I can see why Woodcraft Cabinets rates so highly.
Can't fault him:
- as a tradesman: great build quality on the cabinets and a lot of hard work getting everything to sit straight in a crooked house.
- as a businessman: responsive to emails and phonecalls, invoicing done professionally.
- as a project manager: straight-talking, kept us well informed with scheduling and progress updates and wrangled all his trades very well.
- as a general top bloke: bonus points for making friends with a baby while pulling our house to pieces.

We have no hesitation recommending Steve, along with the miscellaneous excellent sparky, chippy, plumber, tiler, stonemason, glazier and plasterer he managed for us.

I highly recommend using Woodcraft cabinets. Steve is always a pleasure to deal with and takes great pride in his craft and finished product. We did a full kitchen reno including replacing tiles in kitchen and adjoining laundry. He arranged necessary trades for tiling, plumbing, electricals and tiling. Steve was on the ball problem solving a couple of hiccups from the kitchen plan (external provider). My finished kitchen was exactly how I had envisioned. When building our new home19 years ago we used Woodcraft for all the internal cabinet work(kitchen, bookshelves, bathrooms etc). At the time we were dealing with the current owners father. We were more than happy with the standard and quality of the work then and it made sense to approach Woodcraft once again for some new bookshelves/ cabinets. The new work has recently been installed and I am very pleased to offer Woodcraft a 5 star rating. Over nearly 20 years operation Woodcraft Cabinets have clearly not compromised on their workmanship and customer service.

I need to remove some draws and cabinets from my old kitchen cabinets to make some space for a dishwasher that the family are desprated for. I've tried to contact some handyman or kitchen cabinet maker but no good responses at all, some ignored me and some gave me a unreasonable high price to send me off. I read the reviews from this website and contacted Steve for this job. Steve is very patient and knowledgeable, gave me the advices and sent his brother Bruce to us. Bruce is a really professional builder. I'm so impressed by his punctuality, creativity, politeness, craftsmanship and the best working manners that I've ever seen before from any tradesman. Bruce finished the job perfectly and clean the site very well. Also he gave me heaps of advices for the installation of the dishwasher which are very helpful when I put my dishwasher in. I really appreciated Steve and Bruce on my this small job. From this job I can see how they do business and how good they are. I will definitely recommend Woodcraft to anyone. And will look for them again when I have any jobs in relation to any Cabinets.
