Terrible service and attitude: My first visit to Wooleys with a not so new but highly functional mountain bike. After ringing the store I had decided to take my bike for a routine maintenance service after finding my local lower north shore repairers could not manage the service for at least a week. I was told that for a total $99 six categories of repairs and checks would be carried out; a total of 26 adjustments and mtn. On bringing the bike to their repair department down stairs-you have to lift the bike down two flights of stairs with no offer to help (I am a pensioner) from any of the staff of about 8 people, You are told that an allowance in addition to replace gear and brake cables will be charged (not mentioned over the phone) and at this stage difficult to turn and lift the bike up and out! The bike was finished in 1.5 hours an impossible time for the list of items to be checked and adjustments made? I paid a total of $127.00 dollars had my bike hauled to my car and road around nearby centennial Park to check it out. The bikes gear change was erratic in low gears the front wheel had spoke squeal (loose spokes-these had not been tightened and the front brake cable sported its original loose wire ( from when I had taken it in!) I returned the bike for a mtn follow up and asked for the owner,who was indifferent and officious, not all the sort of person you would want to come back to visit. The bike was be-grudgingly re-repaired. on the following day i took another bike in pieces it needed a gear change cable and control and new standard bars I received a quote for $295.00 parts and labour. I told the shop no way and took it to a local shop where parts and labor totaled a mere $80. Steer clear of these bicycle buccaneers!

This is a great store, on a number of ocassions they have really helped me out. Staff are very easy to deal with and have a great approach to customer service, they actually listen to what you have to say. Highly recommend this store.
