I'm really turned off Woolworths. I'm tired of buying fruit & vegetables that go off within a few days (if I can't make it to a greengrocer), I'm tired of there always being massive queues - whether for self service or normal checkouts, items being out of stock or being completely discontinued and replaced by 'Select' using o/s produce and very rarely are the shallow trolleys around. What do I buy there now? Some breads, cat litter and foods and basic toiletries. I tried the home delivery a few times, but the high price of the groceries plus the delivery cost don't make it worthwhile. Locally owned stores and farmers markets are where I am getting the best.

The staff are great though.

In more recent years this supermarket has become like the corner shop! The staff are courteous and efficient, always willing to help and very polite. The downside is that waiting times are sometimes very long at the self check out. Otherwise all the products are there, it is rarely crowded and you not only meet people you know but also people you don't know! The check out people are also very chatty. Almost five stars!
