Clear it out and start again. I'm a regular traveller to the Blue Mountains, and the World Heritage Plaza (as its now known) has been on a downhill slide for years. They used to have a few good attractions and stores, but now there is just a fairly ordinary lolly shop, a place with opals, a souvenir shop (geared towards international visitors) and a couple of terrible places to eat. They really need to raise the quality, so that you can spend a bit more time there. As it was, we had a terrible and overpriced lunch at the Three Sisters Cafe, had a 5 minute look through the souvenir shop, and that was it. Nothing particularly interesting about local history, nothing for kids to do, no nice souvenirs or pictures of the Blue Mountains/Three Sisters, just very sad, run down and tacky. Give it a miss and go back into Katoomba.
