I have been to XY quite a few times as I must be a sucker for punishment. I mostly have had my legs waxed here. Every time they left patches of hair, so I'd see a different therapist each time. Unlike at other salons I've been to, they didn't double check for any hairs they missed, and tweeze them out. And every time I've been they have left wax in patches on my legs. One time I went home and sat on my brand new lounge and soon realised that the wax they left on my leg got stuck on the beige material - have never been able to get the wax off my lounge. Recently, I received a phone call saying I'd won a free facial so I went to that. I got there a few minutes before my appointment time but ended up waiting nearly half an hour before I was taken into the room. At the end of my half hour facial I had to listen to the sales pitch of a product I apparently really need (even though I was told I have beautiful skin and they were really jealous). It would have cost me $59 and they didn't look like they were going to take no for an answer.. They just assumed I'd buy it. In the end I told them I literally had no money at that time and they turned a bit rude after that. If you're going to offer a free facial then let it be free!!!! My sister's birthday was coming up and I knew she really wanted a microdermabrasion facial. They had a special on at that time for $40 for the facial so I explained to the therapist that I was buying it for my sisters birthday so I'd buy a voucher in the dollar amount and she could book in when she was ready. The therapist said it was a great idea so I paid the money and received the voucher. My sister was so excited when I gave it to her that she rang up straight away and booked in for 10:30am on the Thursday... She explained that she had received a gift voucher for it and the staff said they don't accept gift vouchers on specials.. My sister fought her and said that the reason I bought it was for the facial etc and finally they said they will accept it "this time". She arrived at 10:19am and was told that she was 4 minutes late and they couldn't do her facial because she was late... When actually she was 11 minutes early. She then had to rebook and was told that the price would go up as the special was finished by then so she'd have to pay the difference. My sister was upset and said there's no way that she could etc. (She's a single mum of 2 and recently had a load of health problems preventing her from working). Finally they said fine and she could honour the voucher. She went for her facial yesterday and got the same sales pitch I got, and was pressured into spending $89 (using a credit card) on some facial cream. She was really upset when she left and she rang me in tears. We called them today to explain the situation and they have refused to give her a refund. Absolutely disgusted with this place and I will definitely never give them another cent of my money. I regret the hundreds of dollars I've spent here in the past few months.

Didn't tint eyebrows properly, went back to get them fixed and got " sorry we can't fit you in today!" , you really should fix your mistakes and keep your customers happy! I won't be going back.

Can not fault the service, staff friendliness and atmosphere in the salon. The prices are also really affordable too!

I can definitely vouch for Carol's review below. Absolutely loved this salon. Was a bit hard to find tucked away in the shopping centre, but now I've found it I'm never leaving! It's the little touches that definitely make it the best place around!

My first treatment with the XY crew yesterday - wow! From the moment I stuff at the doorway I got a fantastic welcome from Paulette. I was instantly made to feel welcome and Paulette took the time to talk me through the treatment options - and there are lots! I had a Botanical Facial with a "booster" - yum, yum, yum. Had a manicure with Megan - fabulous job. This high class, professional salon is right in my backyard so I'll be bad Paulette, thanks for a great day. :) Carol G
