For the last fifteen years I've had long hair up to my waist. My mum is a hairdresser and always been reluctant on getting my hair trimed yet alone cutting my hair short. However, after reading all the reviews I thought it's time for a change and booked one for myself and one for my mum. I had Yan and my mum had Tim. Everything from the head massage to communication, haircut and blow wave was at its best. Words can't describe how content and happy we are with our hair and I can't wait to be back. 10/10, highly recommended!

It's not often I put aside the time to write a formal review, but under these circumstances it must be done. This business has single handedly destroyed my freedom to accept a hair cut from anywhere else. From the hot chocolate as I walk in the door all the way through to Tim's tantric temple head massage, I leave each time assured of the staffs dedicated attention to detail while simultaneously questioning my heteronormative propensity. So if you want to avoid feeling like just another sheep off to the sheering shed... this is your place.

I get my colour and cuts done with Tim at Yan Refael & I couldnt be happier. People always ask me where I get my hair done and tell me it looks amazing! I feel like I have finally found the hairdresser I have been searching for because he always knows what I want and what looks best in me. Tim is a true hair artist. Thank you so much! :)

Moved to Melbourne a year a go and couldn't found a good hairdresser until now! Amazing haircut and colour with the most friendly and relaxing people. Im still getting compliments about it. Thanks Yan!

The team are sooo welcoming & make you feel special. Tim has cut & coloured my hair for the past 5 mths and he is awesome!!! He also provides honest feedback when you ask questions about style, colour, makeup. I have recommended a friend to the Salon & she loved it too.

A few months ago had my first cut here after reading all the positive reviews. I thought they must all be too good to be true... but Yan's haircut had made me get compliments on my haircut every week since (and I haven't had hair cut compliments for years ). He is a great hair dresser.

Tim did a great job at cutting my hair, the first time the took me in without an appointment which was fantastic, I would highly recommend these guys.

Tim cut my hair and it was fantastic, from when I first walked in I was welcomed and felt comfortable! Every need was taken care of, the massaging chairs are heaven, coffee is fantastic and Tim did an amazing job on my hair! I've never been so happy with the way it looks, HIGHLY recommend Tim!

After some bad hairdresser experiences and my sensitive skin I was really scared to try a new salon but so glad I did! Yan and his staff are so patient, friendly, knowledgable and client focused. I left with the perfect colour, no reaction, paid a very reasonable price. Very very happy. Wouldn't go anywhere else in Melbourne
