This is a great drive-in theatre. The entry price was great. I bought a ticket to see 2 movies. The cafe was well stocked and had a nice selection.

The whole family loves yatala drive in. We take the territory and put a mattress in the back for the kids and its just a great night out. Cheapest movies you will pay for in this day and age.

Heaps of fun for the whole family. My girls love going here they love being able to sit back in the car watching the big screen, still has the old time drive in feel to it. food is a bit pricey if you choose to buy it there, sometimes there dud speakers so best to get there early so you can try swap them. there is also a kids playground for those who might need to stretch there legs a bit during the movie.
If your really hungry afterwards you can try famous Yatala pies just around the corner.
Only downfall I have is the location, it is located in a close distance to the local rubbish dump so at times the aroma isn't all that great. but still a great night out.

I think this is the only drive in around but they are still great. It's not expensive and the atmosphere is great! go early to get snacks and a good park. The toilet lines can get a little long but it's still a great night out.

Oh how I love the drive ins!!! And 3 movies for that price, WOW!! I only wish they had more toilets, the queue can be quite a wait, but worth it for the drive in experience!! Bring munchies with you or buy them at the store there. SO MUCH FUN!!!

Been a few times over the years we have never had a huge cue in front of us as we have never been on the holidays. Food is good staff are really nice kids love the snack bar. The toilets were a little run down last time we went and for the amount of people that go there it can be a fair bit of a wait. My dad is a pensioner and they don't take concession cards and since my son was about 3 he had been paying for him to get in when kids up to 5 are free and no one bothered to tell him :(

still a great night out for the kids who have never been but you must get there atleast 40 minutes early and will still be lined up for awhile as traffic is terrible on that road and the line getting in is always huge

I believe this is the last drive in left running in Brisbane. What an experience, it is great. Great prices, really good if you have young kids (especially babies) coz you sit in the car & if the talk/cry it doesn't disrupt other people. Love the atmosphere, bring your own pillows, blanket, food & drinks & enjoy the movie.

This place is amazing, not only because its one of the few left in Brisbane, but it reminds me of my own childhood. There are usually two different sessions each night, an early one and a later one. You pull up in your car (we reverse in with the ute) tune in to the radio station and kick back and relax. We throw chairs in the back and deck chairs to the side of the car. And the snacks bar has the most amazing 60's chairs, even worth just going to get pictures in them lol. Great night for the whole family, what kids wouldn't love watching a movie sitting in bean bags or chairs munching on snacks in their PJ's.

This is one of my favourite places in the whole of greater Brisbane... if you still consider it Brisbane, which I chose to do.
I absolutely love drive-in theatres, they have the best atmosphere, are well priced and lots of fun.
We take our ute with a dodgy mattress in the back and pillows and the like and lie in the tray eating snacks from the esky of food we drag along with us. Whenever we go I sit there wondering why on earth we decided it was a good thing to lock ourselves in a freezing cold over airconditioned room to watch a movie where we pay a huge ticket price and even more inflated food and drink prices when drive-ins are (or were) the alternative? Snuggling up under a blanket eating cheap food from home is such a brilliant experience, it is worth the drive down to see the latest flicks. What you spend on petrol you save on the ticket anyway!
It is absolutely worth checking out their movie times and heading down, even if it is just for the experience - everyone I have taken has absolutely loved it and gone back multiple times!

Love it Love it! Great value for money especially because cinemas are getting so expensive! You can take your pets and ours was so well behaved we will defiently be returning. The cafe is great and all done up in 70's memorabelia. We set up with lots of blankets in the back of the car and were comfy and warm, snacks were great (can take your own too so save on money) and the tickets were cheap anyway. Movies are great and the big screen is stil good quality. Defiantly will be returing every time a new movie comes out!

good value for money and has nice style of 70s. I love the music they play and the look of cafeteria. However usually there are too many little kids are around even for MA movies..(I've seen 10 kids coming out of 1 car and made all sort of noise) some of the speakers are little old and makes annoying noise.

so nice to still have an option to go to the drive-in in Brisbane. we took are two young boys here and they loved it. there is definitely an element of the old still here and the music before the movies takes you back to times past. I would encourage everyone in Brisbane and surrounds to support this institution and keep the drive-in experience alive for our kids to enjoy - it will be a very sad day when this is not an option. great experience and two movies are good value.

I loved the experience here - it has a retro 60s vibe to it. The pre-movie music is from that era as is the sweets shop. People bring mattresses and lounge chairs and make a real night of it. Stay for both movies.
