Authentic and delicious Laotian food. Would highly recommend the stir fries and sticky rice to accompany curries. A real gem in Yarraville.

Amazing authentic Thai and Laos food! The Som Tam with Salty Crab is to die for. ( Also the only place I can find that makes this dish!!! ) Takes me back to my childhood :) Speedy Service!

This place is amazing. Definitely deserves all 5 stars. The reason is because it offers relaxing, casual yet pleasantly polished surrounds, with an interesting, innovative and high quality menu, with great service, and value pricing. I always enjoy coming here, the atmosphere is really nice. It also helps of course that it is paired with great service and great food.
On the food front, expect delights such as
Thai Pancakes ($8.90 for 2 large wraps) - Sweet shredded dried pork with coriander and mild chilli sauce wrapped in our special light pancakes
Tom Yum Prawn $8.90 - home-style version of the famous Thai soup with prawns, packed with flavour and ingredients
Tofu Larp $12.90 - fresh minced tofu mixed with Laos herbs and fresh mint

Food is fantastic at very good prices. You better book if u want a seat though!! Have been a few times now and plan to keep going back. They really are changing the place every time I go. Love the new extension - more room for bookings now.

Eaten here twice now before seeing a movie at the sun cinema. Both times the food was exceptionally good. Its mostly communal eating with long shared tables unless u grab a seat at the bench near the window or if ur lucky enough to score a table for 2. Dont be put off by the seating arrangements. The food is special and well worth sacrificing ur preferred seating arrangements. The place has a great vibe and I see myself becoming a regular there.

I've been here a few times and while I have nothing to really complain about, it hasn't left a positive impression either. I think there are better choices in this neighborhood.

This restaurant is always packed - it's advisable to make a booking! The reason it is always packed is because the food is sensational. The cashew and sweet chilli chicken stir-fry is fantastic - highly recommended.

DISCOUNT TIP: Monday night is $9 noodle night, Tuesday night is $9 stir-fry night and Wednesday night is $9 curries.

The only downside to this restaurant is the size - it is quite small and mostly communal long tables. Apart from that, it is a suburb restaurant.

Delicious amazing yummy food! The Monday, Tues and Wednesday evening dinner deals are excellent - especially curry and rice on a Wednesday for only $9 - But the best bit about Yim Yam is that the food is so authentic!
