Zanders At Cable Beach

Went here a few times whilst on holiday. The view is unbelivable of Cable Beach & the interior is quite nice. Went for lunch Friday & service and food was exceptional. Shared the Club sandwich which was massive & very filling. Bought over large glasses of water & cups/straws for the kids. Went again on Sunday & service was terrible, had to chase down someone to order food etc. Food was nice still - guessing staff all called in sick!

Sorry but I can't really recommend this place, I had 1 bad experience and I won't go back for a second. The view is the best thing going for it, it is lovely and relaxing but the service was rubbish (we went for breakfast). Had to wait over 15 minutes to get served when there were only 2 other couples in the restaurant. We then waited another 30 minutes for breakfast to come out - still not busy! The food was the cold, toast soggy. Really disappointed as with the location this place would be perfect if it had the right service and food.

Don't bother with this place, we went there for breakfast and were far from impressed. The view is the only thing good about this place. The service was ok but far from the best, the food was shocking, cold toast, cold bason, watery milk, holindase sauce had a film over it - just gross.

Zanders has a magnificent view and it's pretty much worth going for the view. The reason for the very rating is that the food quality can be really variable. We went three times during our trip to Cable Beach. The service was always good. However, one time the food was atrocious. The other two times it was reasonable. So it is hit and miss. The Sunset Bar has better consistency and equal views.

This cafe is situated right at the top of cable beach and has great beach views. They have a reasonable varied menu with fairly average pricing. I ate there several times and found the service up and down. Sometimes it was very good-quick and friendly and other times it could be quite bad-slow and getting orders wrong. I believe this is due to staff being very transient.
