It was most unpleasant New Year Eve shopping experience at Zara shop in Pitt street today. I went to buy dress and found one which has red sticker 39.95 AUD. But when I came to pay the price was 89.95 AUD. I asked Manager to explain me why it happened. Instead of apologizing and keep me happy he suggested that I had swooped stickers from the cheaper item. I was shocked because the insinuation that i swapped stickers was beyond my comprehension . It was most horrible shopping experience I ever had. I bought the item for 89.95 AUD and left Zara story completely disappointed.
Omg 10 stars out of 5,
In there today saw two jackets in soft yellow and white / stunning black and white print pants and some super cute beaded tops.
Well when this place opened everyone I know was so happy to go and shop there. the stuff you find there is very very fashionable however a big question mark for the quality and i can assure you it's not the best. This store is always full and busy , many tourrists to . Some people consider it overrated.
when it first came out in sydney, i waited in the massive queue to go into the store and i was very impressed. the clothes are great quality and also quite cheap. The service people were very friendly and serve people nicely.
Approximate cost: $16
Yes some of the pieces in Zara are just gorgeous and the quality is superior.
Great energy but the physical environment is way too packed. The opening of Zara was a bit too over-hyped. The clothes are well designed but a little too plain. Prices are decent, considering Zara is a European brand. However, the experience could be significantly improved if staff were more friendly and calm! Usually they look very stressed out!
Agree with the store being packed, but I actually like the designs! It's quite simplistic and on trend.
The energy in this shop just makes you want to buy things. It's often so busy you can get carried away and fall guilty to impulse buys. Impressive range that regularly changes with multiple price points. However am disappointed that they don't stock more than medium in some styles.
Top Shop can be like that with their sizing too, only small sizes, not right for an average size woman.
I love that Zara is now here in Sydney! Although it is more expensive to buy here than overseas, the options they have are endless. It is also better priced than a few other Australian brands (like Witchery and Country Road- as their manufacturing is also done overseas). They have new styles all the time, and they are right on trend. Although the shop is very busy, often messy and understaffed, the constant influx of clothes outweighs all the cons! I recommend to go early in the morning and not at lunch time.
Zara is one the best brands from Europe and the brands wears very well on most people. The fashion from this brand is great and very modern. I love the t-shirts (for men) as they fit me very well plus the jackets are also very stylish. Price is quite expensive though.
Approximate cost: $30+
I love ZARA. Coming from Europe, zara items are always a staple in my closet. The sydney shop is nice and big but is is so very crowded all the time. And I had a shop assistant approach me once offering me a size 12 pants....and I am a size 8. But apart from that, i still enjoy buying things from Zara. I do not go in the shop any more but purchase online
Approximate cost: $59
great store location the only problem is that the store gets very crowded and there's not always enough staff to cover
