I went here for coffee the other day and the place was absolutely heaving. Despite this my coffee and fruit toast came out quite quickly and was pretty tasty, they even had a newspaper for me to read.

I personally think that cafes should give you a glass of water when ordering a strong black coffee, as is customary in a lot of places, as it costs nothing and is a nice gesture. Unfortunately I lost my seat when I got up to fetch my own and had to explain to a woman and her kids that my sunglasses and keys left on the table (and half drank coffee) indicated that I planned on returning very soon and wasn't an invitation to occupy my table.

The park and river occupies the kids just long enough for parents to enjoy their coffee but if you just feel like a quiet relaxing coffee on your own then have it takeaway.

The charm of Zephyr's is the location. Being right on the river it's a great place to enjoy a coffee and relax. Prices are as you would expect from an upmarket cafe. They have a great range of home made cakes though which are well worth a try.

fabulous location by the river, with excellent food and good service at reasonable prices. Children's play area next to it, which can be easily supervised but is sufficiently distant not to disturb adult enjoyment. We keep going back again and again and again. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

I love the relaxed and summer felt environment. The view is great, the facilities are clean, and cleaned regularly throughout the day! There is a playground for kids, plenty of shaded grassed areas, and of course the lovely river right at the cafes door step. I could sit there all day and drink coffee.

Approximate cost: $20

I LOVE this place! Right on the river, nice relaxed environment, good food, fantastic menu ... and cake selection! The scones are to die for ... the Breakfast is the best value for money we've found! The playground is also right there so the kids can have fun also! The cafe also offers take away! They don't seem to have a high turnover of staff either ... which tells me that they MUST be doing something else right!! I always feel better leaving this place than I did on arrival! Well Done!!!

Approximate cost: $18
