1 review about zierholz premium brewery

My wife goes here quite regularly with her work so I wanted to experience this German Brewery/restaurant myself. Brewery operations can be seen through a glass window from the fairly small eating area. I suppose they have enough seats for about 40 or 50 max pers, so making a reservation is recommended.
We went for lunch on a Friday and I wasn't disappointed. Probably about 10 different styles of beers with varying alcohol levels - I just had the German Ale (Zebra) a crisp and delightful german style beer that wanted me to drink more but I couldn't (driving).
For lunch, my wife had the chicken schnitzel that came with chips & gravy ($22.50). Nice but nothing spectacular. I had the roasted pork knuckle that came with mashed potato, red cabbage, sauerkraut and gravy ($33). It was huge and absolutely delicious. Crackling perfect, meat tender and the end bits gooey and jelly like. I couldn't eat it all & took it home. I actually got another two meals out of it.
I've told my work about it & I think we are going there for our Christmas break lunch. Either way, we will definitely be going back again before we leave Canberra.
Highly recommended.
Oh, and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Approximate cost: $70
