Bought a chocolate flourless cake , extremely stale and dry. All other cake portions purchased were also stale . Nothing like European cakes . Service was terrible close to 3.00pm older lady behind the counter was rolling her eyes. Not all all interested in just even selling what they had. Probably keep it for the following week. Laurents has better/fresh cakes. Very expensive and poor quality, have had better Euro cakes.

Wonderful patisserie IMO. Wonderful array of patisserie cakes, biscuits & savoury items on display. However, they need to heat savoury food in an oven, not microwave as it makes pastry soggy. A little pricey, but a pleasant experience.

Fantastic gorgeous French patisserie! Took my friend there for the high tea to celebrate her birthday. Zimt were very accommodating when I requested to alter the high tea offerings. The staff were very friendly & attentive and the place offers a lovely, sweet atmosphere :)

Aaahh. Another Pastry Chef has traveled the world and declared his love for Melbourne. How lucky we are. Zimt have purpose built their shiny new Cafe, sorry, Patisserie, up the Road near Surrey Hills Station. The cakes, the Royal icing, breathtaking. The savory options not so. I have been disappointed each time I make a special trip for lunch.Why, why, why do patisseries even have microwaves? Expensive, my word. A gingerbread creation with Royal Icing will give your mortgage a nudge, which given surrounding house prices will nudge your blood pressure as well. Looking for that special gift for someone who has everything..... be brave..... order one of their Birthday cakes. Go on. Yes they make Coffee too.
