At first this supermarket was good. Now it is not very good as some checkout staff treat regular customers like thieves. There is a faintly disparaging, if not offensively suspicious divide between staff and customers.

The latest restructuring is going to alienate customers even more with its installation of self service checkouts in what I call the corridor of death - a poky aisle lined with only machines, with the remaining normal checkouts way up the front.

Items for sale are placed right alongside service channels, some service staff excel at placing the goods they are stacking in trolleys where they cause the maximum blockage to customers.

The emphasis is not on people in this over rated supermarket, meat prices are astronomical, the fish on offer is second rate, much fruit is hard and inedible.

Where once I would go there up to three times a week, I try hard not to go there at all.
