We often eat here for a good quality, cheap meal out. The food is always very nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. You can almost always get in without a booking. The decor of the restaurant is very outdated (1970s bright orange chairs and plastic plants!), but if you aren't looking for anything flash, just a good, basic restaurant that you can take the kids, this is a good option.

Rama's is my favourite Indian restaurant in Canberra. The quality of their food is always fabulous whether you eat in or have take-away. The serving sizes are good and they home deliver for free to some suburbs.

The ladies at Hair at Elaine's are always friendly and do an excellent job of cutting my hair. Their prices are also very reasonable and I generally am able to get an appointment at a time that suits me. Open on Saturdays too which is handy.
