Went here to day for a coffee and cake, pleasant enough setting the young ladies were polite and the place clean, how ever the pricing was outragious. I got a skinny late in a small glass and a serve of carrot cake and was charged $15.50........I for one will never go there again, very dissapointing

Went for breakfast here on Friday morning, very nice setting very clean and tidy place. There are a number of different areas to choose from and we unfortunately picked the wrong one on this particular morning. We sat in the large main area to the right of the entrance and there was a large group of ladies taking coffe that were very very loud....The coffe was very good as well as the breakfast, especially the tomatoes and the poached eggs were as requested runny....very nice food overall. the other minor point was the pricing - slightly over what is paid in other cafes of a like setting.

Went out to Fire N Ice for a lunch special with my partner, heard good things about it and while not great was OK for value and taste. The service was good, the only negative with the service was that there was no table service for drinks which was a bit strange but I suppose it cuts down on costs for the owners. The specials we got (like most of everyones specials) were more suited to a small cafe in a run down shopping center - not very large servings and passable on the taste test.

A few friends decided to go out for tea on a friday night and we decided upon La Porchetta as we had not been here since it re-opened.....
We arrived on time as booked and the staff seamed OK.We were served quickly and our starters order was taken. We made the usual small talk and had a couple of drinks and realised that our starters had taken over 45minutes. Not a good start especially when people who arrived after us had theres. There was then another 4-5 -60 minutes untill most of the main meals arrived ( place was only 1/3 to 1/2 full at the most) three of the six arrived were only just warm. My partners seafood pizza still had not arrived after every other dish was nearly finished, a staff member apologised afetr speaking to her, she came back to advise they had ran out of the seafood topping !!!!!!!! when the "substitute" one arrived is was covered with very salty anchovies - not very nice at all. yes we did get two free dishs but after this debacle there is no way we will return there. I would feel sorry for any one going there if they were ever busy with a full service, very very dissapointing night.

Went here this morning for my morning coffee - what a mistake. As usual its your standard McCafe, service was OK though not as good as the other stand alone outlets, ask for the coffee for a sit down and was given it inn a cardboard cup - urgh. the worst part was the coffee itself, it was barely luke warm but at least the toasted banna bread was nice. I only took one sip from the coffee and walked not, oh by the way it was not even busy - only 8-9 people in there.

Went for breakfast here and found a very nice clean quiet cafe. Staff were very helpfull and friendly. A good selection on the menu and its reasonably priced with good tasting coffee. Obviously a well used cafe as there were a number of people from the TRC and Workcover there, overall a nice place to go for a quiet coffee - oh and there is free Wi fi also to patrons.

Been here a few times for a coffee and cake and enjoy it every time. Good coffee, tasty nibbles and a contemporary setting, very nice overall as the last poster noted taken some inspiration from the Melbourne back street cafes.

Extremely disappointing after a night out with friends for dinner. The premises was recommended by friends and while the food was very nice the service and price were not. Had to "grab" a waitress to get a drink even though we waited around 20 minutes for some one to serve us, this problem continues all the meal. The meals did not come out all together - they came out staggered the last meal came out after everyone else had finished, this was after we had to check twice with a waitress where the food was......will take a lot to get me back there along with the other 9 people with us Not a good way to get repeat customers.

Been to a few cafes in Toowoomba and think this place is in the top third of them. Good polite service and the carrot cake was very nice. The seating and atmosphere (live singer) was also good. Would recomend if you have not been there.
