We visited last night expecting traditional style Turkish cuisine, but left disappointed.

The bread and dips were fine, but the bread very quickly was eaten, and we were not offered more until the mains were ready to be brought out.

While a bottle of water had been placed on the table, we were not given a drink menu or offered any beverages at all.

I was really disappointed with the main meal, there was just nothing remotely Turkish about it. I had the oven baked lamb, and my partner had the rissoles.

The lamb was not marinated or seasoned with anything that I could discern and was smothered in a very large pool of gravy. It was served wth chips, a piece of cauli, a piece of brocolli, a piece of asparagus, a pile of plain white rice and a slice of cold tomato.

I had expected the dish to contain some Mediteranean ingredients and seasonings
but there seemed to be none of that.

If I had wanted a meal of Aussie-style roast lamb with chips and gravy, I could have gone to any one of dozens of clubs or bistros in the area, paid half the price and gotten a much better selection of vegetables.

Approximate cost: $30
