We have been to Monarto twice - the first time to see the whole zoo and the second to do the interactive cheetah experience. Both were brilliant experiences. We were told it would take most of the day to see the zoo but thought given the number of animals we would be finished in a few hours. How wrong were we - it certainly is a full day experience. The bus was really good, the keeper talks were interesting and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We got up nice and close to the animals. The cheetah experience was a little expensive but well worth the money- being able to get close to and actually touch cheetahs is probably a once in a lifetime experience for most people (if they're lucky - it's only possible because these cheetahs have been hand reared). I'd suggest cooler weather is best as the animals are more active. The bottom line is if you 're interested in / love animals you'll love Monarto - if not why would you be there anyway?
