Watch out for hidden costs, misleading information, misquotes and extremely poor customer support. Taking Quick and easy to fair trading!!

We booked a premium service with these guys for our interstate move from Sydney to Gold Coast this week. Although few expensive items were damaged, and being pressured to pay the balance for the move in cash to the drivers rather than using card or transfer, overall i cant fault the removalist guys. However an important item was left behind due to limited capacity on their largest truck. This wasnt thought to be a huge problem by us on the day as quick and easy had initially quoted/confirmed a price for additional items going on a backload service. On the day, we tried to call Quick and easy on the emergency number several times to look at our options. No answer and no call back. The driver was able to get a hold of someone on what appeared to be a private number, however we still got no call back from anyone. It took 2 days of chasing them to finally get a hold of someone, only to be told they were NOT going to honour their initial quote and they wanted us to pay 5 TIMES THE PRICE QUOTED!!! Attempts to resolve the issue has failed as management seem more concerned with not accepting responsibility (although they [redacted] acknowledge[d] their wording in the written quote/confirmation/disclaimer was misleading although it was clear as day to us and would be to anyone else, how does anyone misunderstand a cost/figure???!!!), they also seemed more concerned with not losing an argument. Very unprofessional, dishonest and what appears to be an uneducated management team. When we told [redacted personal identifier] that we were going to fair trading, he pretty much said 'go for it, they wont do anything anyway'! The management team showed no conflict resolution skills and I don't believe they would survive in a business that relies on repeat clientele!!! Thank goodness we aren't moving again anytime soon cause i would NEVER use them again!
