Terrible customer service and a huge lack of empathy! My friend and I had purchased vouchers through Groupon. The night before my friend was rushed to hospital, very ill. Her appointment was at 10:30 the next morning. Bliss didn't open until 9:30. I got there at 9:30 as they opened to advised my friend could not attend as she had fallen very ill, this was an unforeseen circumstance. In this case, 24 hours' notice of cancellation was impossible, I told them at the first possible opportunity. They advised me that her Groupon voucher was now invalid because she didn't turn up to her appointment. She then provided a medical certificate to Bliss - the only email we were given was an admin one. In the non-sympathetic reply, they didn't even provide a name and was basically told her tough luck, Bliss run at a loss on Groupon etc. This is unprofessional and not our problem if they are running at a loss - regardless, we paid for a service! Some of the girls in the salon have been lovely so this is not directed at them! The older lady in the salon though was rude to me at the time of this appointment and has been rude to me in the past. Thankfully, we have followed up with Groupon who are assisting and my friend can hopefully gain a refund through that avenue. It was only $29 but the issue here is the customer service, the dollar value isn't important. The lack of empathy is disappointing. Would be interested to find out the actual owner's name, as it has been withheld. There is no reply so far to our recent emails.
