This is a fairly new restaurant to the inner city and I've been there twice in tha last two months.
On both accasions ther food has been exceptional. Last nights fare of lamb kebab (entree) and slinguine marinara , others had the beef or barramundi all dishes were very flavoursome with ample on the plate. The dishes are well priced and the wines are also reasonably priced.

Had dinner for four people. Food was fairly bland. Had 4 tapas plates as entree and a seafood paella as main. All were bland without any distinct flavours. Wine list was limited and expensive given the quality.

I had a group of 31 people dine at QWK. They were a well organised crew. We had a two course meal with alternate drops for main and dessert. The quality of the food was very good. The service by the wait staff was also very good albeit the ordering of the drinks could have been done better.

Customs House is a good up-market pub. The building is great except for the floor boards which means its gets very noisy when busy. The outside verandah is great. The food is of good quality and reasonably priced as is the wines. They have some function rooms upstairs which are great for private functions.

Surtaj is the pick of the Indian restaurants around Newcastle. Food and service is great. Always able to get a table and the prices are reasonable.

The Bogey Hole is a great consistent performer in the Cafe scene. Its a well run and comfortable place for a meal and a drink.. good food....good service and great location.

I took a group of people and ordered the $37 banquet. Once the kitchen sorted themselves out, things were just great. Good food, good atmosphere and good service. We'll go back.

The entertainment is always first rate however the food and beverage is of a poor standard and over priced. We went to a trivia night and whilst that was fine, the food was ordinary. My mate ordered basic fish and chips for about $27 and the fish was still frozen inside. The cheapest wine is $39.50?? Probably won't go back unless I hear it improves.
