Really nice North Indian and Pakistani food. Sometimes wavers in quality on takeaways, and would recommend eating in for the best experience, although it has a very diner like feel and probably not ideal for a romantic evening, although its great for a pre/post show/pub meal with friends.

Great food in a really busy, bustling atmosphere - a great setting for a big night e.g. birthday party or casual dinner with friends. Service can be a bit hard to get hold of, but they make up for it with friendliness and quality of food.

Super friendly team. Full service from bag wash to special dry cleaning jobs, they're the most reliable place around. Not only myself but countless friends gush about Lawrence and his team, they always go the extra mile.

Scrambled is an all day breakfast cafe (although they close mid-afternoon). Perfect for weekend hangover cures, or a breakfast for one with a bit of people watching on Enmore rd. Coffee is well done, and you couldn't imagine this many things to do with scrambled eggs until you've read their menu. Green Eggs and Ham, anyone?

For a relatively small branch of a DVD rental franchise, these guys have a fantastic selection of documentaries, art cult, tv series and generally cool stuff you wouldn't expect to find. I've been a customer for 3+ years, and I'm still finding stuff on the shelves that's really great viewing. There's a great range of daily and weekly specials, plus of course they always have a huge range of latest releases.

Strictly a Mon-Fri business breakfast and lunch cafe, this place is a must to eat if you live or work in the area. It's predictably packed at lunch time - the best plan is to buy take away and find a seat in one of the local parks, our outside the Powerhouse Museum (just across the road). Recommend: spinach and feta filos.

I have to give these guys a shout because it HAS to be the last place in Sydney where you can buy a good egg and lettuce roll for less than $3. The quality is to be expected, it's just good old-fashioned sandwich shop style lunches, and I defy anyone to find anywhere cheaper in a metro area. The women who work there are also absolutely lovely!

If you're ever in the area you have to try on of their pizza-base style spinach and cheese triangles - these things are HUGE! Will easily feed two people with a side salad, super cheap and tasty to boot. Not as big a fan of some of their other dishes (which are still OK and good value for money), but you have to go just to try this one at least.

Only three blocks further up Enmore rd from a certain other outlet famous for portuguese style chicken, these guys are worth the extra five minutes travel. Right near the Enmore Theatre, they do all the usuals - spicy chicken burgers, salads and wraps, but without the fast-food feel. Hand made food and personal service from smiling locals.

One of the best galleries in Australia for ceramics and sculpture, although they also display works across many other media including painting and prints. The staff are highly experienced in Sydney art collection and sales, as well as being about the friendliest, least intimidating people in the biz! Lovely place to visit every time.
