While I can't talk about it's longevity, the initial blonde colour I've received is one of the best ever. But, it comes at a cost.

If you're looking to go blonde with a half-head of foils, expect to pay $395 (without a cut).

This will cover the half-head foils ($185), the toner/semi ($145) and the blow dry ($65). However, if you go earlier in the week, the blow dry is $40.

I made the mistake of basing my own estimate of costs on their website and not checking in to see how much all the extras were adding up. I also didn't think the blow dry was going to be as much as it was.

Having said that, I'm really happy with the colour and am looking forward to seeing whether it lasts longer than the colour from my usual salon – People Hairdressing in Potts Point (they charge around $375 for a half-head foils, toner, cut and blow dry).

If the colour is substantially better, I'll be willing to continue to pay the extra.
