I picked AAA City Removalists as they seemed to be professional. The service up until the removalists arrived was great but once they arrived,it all went downhill from there. The removalists bashed my furniture into walls, brick walls and damaged both the property and my belongings. Most notable they didn't know how to remove a piano even though I gave them forewarning. I told them the last removalist took it down the other side of the house but they decided to go down the 'skinny' path and then it wouldn't fit so they attempted to lift it over onto my neighbours driveway and scratched the front and broke off the middle pedal. When it was delivered I asked them where the pedal was and they said, "It must be at the old house'. I rang the office, they clarified that it happened with the removalists and called me back saying although they acknowledge they damaged my property, they are not liable. I paid $77 per half hour for premium service. I got sloppy service and no responsibility. They in fact told me I had to pay more (on top of the extra I had already paid for my piano) to get my own insurance as they are not liable and I should get it fixed through my home and contents insurance. Is it ok to pay someone that much to damage your property? I don't think so. I will be following up with the department of fair trading. Where is your customer service? Where is your care? VERY POOR SERVICE.
