This review is for Fusion 360 Restaurant And Cafe, Sunnybank QLD

verified email - 30 Oct 2010

Fusion 360 is opened by the same owner as Coffee Square at Market Square. It seems like they are trying to portray a more modern & classy image. The interior design is quite impressive, a very romantic/trendy feel. The menu is similar to Coffee Square with a few new dishes, just a bit more expensive but food presentation is fancier, and it still taste great. It's not as packed as its other restaurant, so if you feel like something on the Coffee Square Menu but can't be bothered waiting for a table, go to Fusion 360, it's just down the road.

I have never felt so uneasy dining out before until I dined here. The service is probably the worst I've ever encountered, which is such a shame because the food is very close to being on my list as one of the best. I've been here 3 times now, always giving them the benefit of the doubt, that maybe they're having a bad day and it's a one-off. But no, each and every time without fail, they seem bitter and unfriendly. Will never dine here again, only going to order take-away. Hope they change their attitude soon, cos really, it's lovely food.

This review is for Darra Palace Chinese & Vietnamese Restauran, Darra QLD

Don't be food by it's appearance, the food here is delicious, one of the best Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant out there, especially the lobster noodle dish and Peking duck and San Choy Boy. Service is friendly and attentive. Oh, and the fried ice-cream, yum! We also order take-away from here frequently. Remember the old saying, "Don't judge a book by it's covers"? Well, this is one of those times, it's quite shabby looking, but the food definitely makes up for it. It's a hidden gem!

This review is for French Patisserie, Toowong QLD

I think the cakes here a very pretty, my favourites being the chocolate mud & white chocolate mud cake with the big flowery choc swirls on top. The prices are fairly reasonable also. The only bad thing I have to say is, I was very disappointed finding out upon purchasing a cake that they didn't have a cake box to cater the size of the cake I purchased. For a cake shop that specializes in that particular cake design, one would think they'd have a box to fit it in.

This review is for Tea & Niceties, Tamborine QLD

A very memorable experience. Had high tea at Tea & Niceties for my birthday with a bunch of girlfriends, and boy were we in for a treat! The tearoom is enchanting, delicate and very feminine, and the attention to detail is extremely impressive. From the rose sugar cubes to the rose scented hand sanitizer at the end of our meal. Had the perfect time there. The best High Tea experience in Brisbane, without a doubt!

It's pretty much like any local hot bread bakeries out there, but the service here is very friendly and I find the food much fresher than others.

This review is for Carraway Pier, Kelvin Grove QLD

I was recommended by a friend who goes to Uni near there, and I was hesitant at first cos I've been to plenty of fish & chips that have been boasted by friends, and they weren't all that. This one, however, is the best I've ever tasted. Everything, EVERYTHING that I put in my mouth was to die for! The fish was so fresh, the seasoned chips were so crunchy, the calamari and the prawns were fantastic, and the sauces, oh, the sauces. I had aioli and tartare sauce, and they were both incredible. Great value too by the way!

This review is for Cupcakes By K, Chermside QLD

verified email - 28 Oct 2010

I am shocked Cupcakes By K is not already listed on here! It has THE BEST cupcakes ever! Not "one of the best" but THE BEST cupcakes! They are not only extremely beautifully made but incredibly deliciously! They are not too pricey either. And man, the service is wonderful! The lady that runs the pretty little shop is the sweetest. She even gave me a free cupcake to try! The only downside for me is that it is quite a drive from where I live. But that may be a good thing, for I would certainly eat a cupcake every day from there if I lived close by. Highly, highly recommended! I am not exaggerating, I'm just extremely pleased that my years of searching for a quality cupcake has come to an end!

This review is for Metro Hand Car Wash, Yeronga QLD

verified email - 28 Oct 2010

Was too lazy to clean my car myself one day, so decided to try out a car wash service. I chose Metro Hand Car Wash as I was in the neighborhood at the time, and am very pleased with the service. Had a cup of coffee and some biccies while my car was getting cleaned, and had a chat with the very friendly owners. Highly recommended. Car smelt new and fresh, and looked and felt clean inside and out.

This review is for Truc Le Hair Design, Mount Gravatt QLD

verified email - 28 Oct 2010

Truc Le Hairdesign is a multi national and international award winning salon specialising in cutting edge hairdressing.
Service was very friendly and enjoyable. The staff makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable. I was recommended by a friend. I told her how badly I needed a quality style cut but was on a very tight budget and could not afford to pamper myself. I was shocked at how inexpensive it was. They are very professional and very good at what they do. Highly recommended.
