30 minutes away from Bendigo in the beautiful town of Castlemaine, Castle motel is a simple but comfortable motel and all their rooms have pay tv, coffee making facilities and electric blankets, which you welcome on a cold winter's night. Quite a short walk to town makes this a handy location.

Also agreed the cheapest petrol station in Bendigo and how busy it gets proves it numerous times I have seen cars parked down the road waiting just to get in. Good quality petrol that is cheap and is open 24 hours a day.
The shop has everything you could possibly need including a large range of dvd's you can hire. Extensive range of quick take away foods and coffee.
Polite, friendly staff

Situated in a very handy location just nearby Strath Village my husband would bring his car here to get washed whilst I would sneak off to get some shopping done.
Smaller car wash I think it has 3 or 4 bays so sometime you may have to wait a bit. Easy to use machines to wash your car, change machine and drink machine are all handy and so is the vacumn after you have finished washing your car but there is only one.
Easy entry through service station next door and exit takes you back on to the main road

The young guys that work here are helpful and friendly and don't make you feel stupid if you don't really know what you want, especially being a women who knows nothing about cars.
Big clean store not far from the centre of town, but very easy to find with good car parking around it.
Big variety of products, and good range of CD players that you can test in store. This is a great store

Called A-line as their cabins are shaped like a capital A with a bedroom on the second storey, and can sleep several people in them, very comfortable and situated about 15 minutes out of town in a quiet bush setting.
Ample room for caravans if you are just passing through and need somewhere for the night. Swimming pool, play area and bbq area are extra bonuses.
A little expensive but worth it if you enjoy the peace and quiet

Great location in the marketplace, this place gets so busy. If you walk in from the street expect to wait up to 2 hours before your appointment which is fine if wanting to do some shopping or have some lunch. Best bet is to ring up and make an appointment, and even then you may need to wait for a little while.
Most of the staff are helpful and friendly but there are a couple that just don't care and seem unwilling to want to help you.
Cheap haircuts that seem to be rushed so that they can get in as many customers they can for the day. Good place to come and get a trim not a style cut. Great for men and boys

Located in the middle of town, with not much parking as it is always busy down there.
Great shop for their merchandise they sell, like dragons, wizards, fairy's, swords, clothes etc, not such a great shop for tattooing and piercing. Had my belly button done there and the guy was quite rough and it really hurt and bled for ages after being done.
Not very impressed with the quality of their tattoo work so wouldn't go there to get one done.
Lady at front counter not so friendly which isn't good for customer service

Rob's barber shop for that traditional feel of the old barber shops, located in quiet Alans walk which runs up from the main st.
Rob would have to be one of the most kindest, friendliest men I have ever met and never hesitates to meet your needs. I still go out of my way to say hello to him.
Works so well with little boys who need haircuts.
Cheap prices for a great cut

Caroline's skin care are a small Australian company that produces skin care, as I have trouble with sensitive skin I emailed them and they were so helpful and kind that they even sent me some samples of their creams.
No irritation or redness to my face when I tried them and wasn't greasy like a lot of other creams and didn't have a strong scent which I liked.
Will certainly be buying some in the future
